Ive been trying to find out which is the correct disconnect detection method to use in south africa.
My router has 4 settings, 1. Loop start, reverse battery 2. Loop start,forward disconnect 3. Tone based disconnect and 4. Disabled. These settings can be configured for both FXO and FXS.
I think the disconnect detection should probably be disabled on the client device as the connection/disconnection should be handled by the service provider..?
When changing between these settings I havent really noticed any obvious differences, but I suspect these settings may be the cause of some other issues Im having..
