Discovery Bank

Is this backdated. I don’t think I got any miles. Is this on top of the miles you earn for meeting your goals.
I think we’ll get them after May only, I also haven’t received anything yet.

Must be in addition to, yes.

Now I have to run each day even though I met my goals. 20/30 bucks a day isn’t bad. For some you can get R150 worth of miles each day if you a high performance athlete. Or is it R120.

Yeah I’m going to do the same. An hour (sometimes even 30min) of HIIT or boxing from the VA app gets me 300 points no problem.

is this on their website?
This is great, but yeah would like to know if it's for steps as well,as it's pretty much what I do and sometimes the VA workout,I've done three but only got points for one , don't think it registers well

Yes, for me a 30 minutes skipping session a day gets me 200 points x 7 a week.
I cant seem to get my HR up doing home.workouts(also don't enjoy them) I enjoy my outdoor runs where I can get my 300points so hopefully from Friday

So: I routinely earn 1200 exercise pts per week, and could easily up this to 1800-2100. That's R180-R210 per week. I've been loathe to join Discovery Bank because I'm a single person who lives extremely cheaply, and I just didn't see how I would make up the montly fee in additional rewards. Would it be feasible for me to take out the gold transactional account on the pay-as-you-use basis, just until the end of May, and then cancel it? Would I be required to actually do any transactions on it?

I just have their credit card and their free vitality savings account, I'll see next week if I'll get these vitality workouts as miles, but even with the cc and savings account I get all other miles from gym booster devise booster healthy living purchases etc

As I say, I've done the maths and in a normal world, wouldn't make the monthly fee back in discounts because I'm out of the country for more than 6 months each year and I just don't spend enough. I'm on the pre-2010 Virgin Active benefit, so gym is free. My Garmin watch was bought for cash 5 years ago and is still perfect. I don't want their CC because I'm still on the old card and earn the miles multiplier. As soon as that card expires (May 2021) I'll move over to the free Virgin CC because my monthly spend on the card won't earn enough miles to cover the monthly fee.

I was also hesitant about joining Discovery Bank, but after seeing this latest offer of vitality points to miles I decided to open up an account. I went for the platinum cc account, not sure if I should have just taking gold. Will see how it works out.
Now to figure out how to move up from blue Vitality Money status - any tips from current account holders? My goals don't seem to want to load.

You need upload proof of your savings and retirement etc. You can cheat and enter decent high amount you only have to proof it in 3 months time, but if don't have proof you will drop to blue again
