Discovery Bank

I find Discovery's big brother tactics distasteful.

Granted, I have most of my insurance and investments with them, but the way things are interlinked and the way you get trapped in order to "benefit" is unpleasant.
How are you trapped? if you dont want "it" dont take it then...

You sign up for product A.
Discovery tells you that if you also have product/add-on B, the benefits are multiple.
You are then informed that if you also sign up for product/add-on C, you can also have the next benefit.
And so on and so forth.

Or you can choose a company where you basically get nil benefits and the cheapest like 10x.

Vertical Card !!!

Discovery Bank is coming to disrupt... watch and see!!!

I don't understand the vertical card.. Symbolism as to how they're turning the market? Just a bit strange

I have no doubt that discovery bank is going to be super complicated with all the other product integrations, tiers, rewards, etc. And you'll obviously have to be all in with the discovery products for it to be worth it for you. But flash a "free" iphone Infront of someone and they'll take it! They are very smart with their carrot dangling

Exactly. People allo go "this is so great" but you end up being completely captured (!) by the end of it. I give one third my monthly income to Discovery for all the various product premiums I pay.
