Discovery Bank

Awefully quiet for a `suppose start date of next Monday `
 
lolz , was thinking the exact same thing , did they hit some massive problem and everyone is keeping quiet ?
 
Got this e-mail this morning:

You would Think by now they would at least give us more info like prices options etc
 
It's 25 March but they don't want too many people trying to sign up at once and having to wait weeks, hence they not making a huge noise now. People who already have Discovery Card will be moved first and then everybody else.

Got same mail and Said the Discovery Credit Card will move to Discovery Bank.. to be expected i guess moving it away from FNB...

The Discovery Bank app is now available on pre-order in the iOS app store. The description gives some details about the bank and then mentions this:

"We're currently taking a limited number of applicants every day so for now you will only be able to open an account if you have received an invite. In the meantime, you can still register with us and reserve your timeslot to sign up."

I have the app downloaded, it installed automatically overnight. When I select "Already a Bank Client" it allows me through to take a Selfie but the Selfie does not seem to register yet with Discovery. I have tried to take the selfie in various light conditions and it always returns the error that it does not match their records.

Seems to be iOS only for now. I'm assuming it'll go live as soon as they officially launch it via social media and blogs or try "Join the Bank".

Yea me too. Selfie doesn't work
