Seems like it. Though I don't know if the spend is necessary and what counts as spend. Is it credit card payments only or do debit orders and rental payments etc. also count... There's no way I would have gotten R15k monthly spend without including those things.

Where is the screenshot from?

It’s from Discovery’s website, under ‘Info and Tips’ once logged in. Spend bands don’t affect miles, you earn regardless. It’s for the boosted discounts like Healthy Food and Gym Booster. EFTs and debit orders definitely don’t count towards the spend band, it’s only swipes and online shopping.

You get almost nothing in miles at the moment but I’m told that boosters will kick in again sometime. And when the new Vitality Active Rewards launches next year, it’ll all be miles based. You’ll get 100 miles for achieving each goal (health, drive and money), so 300 miles per week guaranteed. You then also get to play the gameboard for each goal, plus a bonus play if you achieved all three. More miles will be awarded there (as opposed to the current points). Quite excited about that... Miles on spend equates to almost nothing and is just and added ‘nice to have’ for now.

So does that mean I get double my dMiles if i go from gold to diamond on my money status?

I see in their website you don't get miles for debit orders

Ya I get 2 out of 4 weeks for swipes. Thinking of splitting my rates into about 10 R250 swipes to get another week
Only get 1 reward if you do it within an hour. If you swipes 10 within an hour, you only get rewarded for highest swipe. Seems they though about this before.

For the healthyfood

Who is best to choose, Pick 'n Pay or Woolworths

Also does the miles multiplier apply only to healthy foods or general spend at pick 'n pay?

This is not correct, i have on multiples times received points for multiple transactions at the same vendor within minutes of each other.

Hmm someone posted there is limit being applied.
Definitely not. I do have about 20 or so transactions missing from vitality money ( but they do show up on DMiles). Of the missing transactions in vitality money only one relates to two consecutive swipes at the same vendor, i got a point for the lower of the two. I suspect what is happening is who ever made this comment also had missing transaction which he/she thought was due to swiping at same vendor within a certain timeframe.

Shelf labels will also have the Vitality logo, but the list is extensive. All fruit and Veg, all eggs, wholewheat bread, lean poultry, fat free dairy etc.

As to WW vs PnP that’s really up to you and where you shop more. I prefer WW but PnP might have a bigger range (yoghurt for instance - PnP have flavoured ones on Vitality and at WW is just plain).

None of the meats or chicken except for free range chicken breast at pick 'n pay qualify not even milk.

Fats are better for you than carbs yet discovery doesn't seem to have gotten the memo yet.

Starting to realize ebucks is better.

The big benefit for me is fruit, veg and eggs. I hardly bother with the rest. It’s not a perfect system. You can for instance go buy a bag of potatoes and a bottle of canola oil to make fries. Hardly healthy but full Vitality discount there. The general idea is healthier food though.

Our primary bank is RMB and I don’t think you’ll ever be able to match eBucks... We get about R3k back a month.

If you do more than 20 transactions in the week do the extra transactions get carried over to the following week, I'm aware if you less than 20 they get carried over but what if it exceeds 20?
