Discovery has always been, and will always be, about leading a healthier life. Healthy Food is an incentive to do just that. They're certainly not forcing anyone to be vegan, they are encouraging you to make healthier choices. I'm not saying that red meat doesn't have a place in a healthy diet but they can't exactly reward you for buying it. Ostrich is offered as an alternative to red meat, and there are plenty of other sources of protein on the list. It's not how much it's on what that bugs me with Discovery, I am not a vegan so the healthyfood has zero relevance to my diet I eat red meat and lots of it.
With Tymebank you get points on "anything" - food, TVs, shoes, rent, electricity - everything.
If Tyme Bank has a better offering in your opinion then it surely makes sense to bank with them and not Discovery? In order for Discovery to make sense from a rewards point of view, you need to have a vested interest in their entire ecosystem (i.e. health, vitality, invest and insure) in my opinion.
With Discovery Bank you get miles on "anything".
