Discovery Bank

My online transactions have been counting towards the weekly spend points.

I have however made myself a spreadsheet to keep track of everything and their system seems to skip transactions. Over the last 2 weeks, I have transactions totalling 16 points that have not been allocated any points towards the weekly goal.

When you say online transactions do you mean EFTs? If so - I have done a bunch of EFTs using my CC and transactional accounts and none have counted towards points yet. Other than 1 POS transaction at Checkers which earned me 1 point - all my other transactions still show as pending....

When do we start seeing interest on our accounts?

Online purchases using the card, not EFTs. I don't use my credit cards to EFT.

16 that's pretty poor of discovery.so far I've done 16.5 (why they chose a .5 allocation is beyond me) and all 16 have shown..
I'm happy to hear online purchases count towards your weekly goal transactions
Seems Thursdays and Fridays they struggle to allocate the points on my transactions. I seem to do lots of swipes those days of the week. I have emailed them to look into it.

Does online purchases count towards your weekly money goal(the 20 transactions thing) or only physical swipes?
It looks like online transactions counts. My Snapscan transactions all showed up and counted towards my money goal.

Anyone else having issues or a delay cancelling their account? I've been waiting for 2 days for their non existent IT team and it seems like my account is still open or my application is pending.

Does anyone know if they plan on enabling their cards for apple pay?
Doubt it. Apple has rarely brought support for the products in South Africa. Similar to Google, its US first, Europe second, Asia third and it ends there.

So I emailed them a few days ago about this and received this response today - however not sure its a generic reply of if apple pay is actually coming at some point ...

Good day Mr *******

Does the vitality savings account give any interest?

Also my My one money goal is to save R4000odd ,does it matter what account that goes into? Like the vitality money or demand savings account?

Does the vitality savings account give any interest?

I havent seen any interest awarded yet on any of my accounts (CC, transactional or Vit savings) but yes, all of them show an interest rate when you tap on the account card. Ive queried this with Discovery however as my dynamic interests rate show different rates to the account card rates.

Did anyone get their Active Reward Money goal this week? I got 3 points for transactions earlier in the week and about 12 points for transactions on Thursday & Friday which haven't been awarded yet.

Also - how does carried over points work? I have 1 carried over point. Cant see what it was for.

My understanding of the weekly money goal was that if you didn't get to the target (ie 20 points) it all carried over to the next week and once you got the target you would get the extra play on the Wednesday.

How are you seeing your money goal?

Discovery app - Vitality Active Rewards section. A 3rd money goal ring will appear once you have activated it. I had to have a minimum amount of R1000 in my savings to activate the money goal

Aaah ok, so those things just "activate" the money goal?

I should get my first play next week, as of yesterday it showed 16.5 but on Thursday I did 4 transactions but I haven't got those yet so hopefully by Wednesday, and if so say I do 21 last week will the extra 1 get carried over?

I do use my Discovery credit card for around R10 k per month as well. So I will be in a low band
