Is there any cheap fitness band/trackers that I can sync with Vitality ? I am trying the Samsung Health app on my P9 Lite but it does not seem to record my activities and this is the only app that Vitality recognizes even though my handset had the Huwaei Health app which seems to work better than the S Health app.......

You can get a chest HR strap for about R800 at sportsmans. But that won't help with steps. So possibly one of the garmin/tomtom activity trackers they have

Also check out ebay for good deals, sometimes you can accept a little crack or so and get something at a much lower price than locally.

How so? Polar Beat also allow you to see your average HR in real time, so you should be able to do the same thing I do with the M400. At least thats how I used to use it, before the M400.

Set it to show HR in % instead of bpm and then show the average and current HR with whatever else on the display you want.

I could not get it to work... Touching the percentage and it changes it back to displaying in bpm...

The p9 lite has a battery saving setting which by default does not allow Samsung health to run in background. You can disable this setting. Samsung health should then run in background and record your steps.

OK, so I have been shopping around for a Tom Tom Runner 3 but it seems like there are none in stock. Been to Totalsports, Sportmans Warehouse, Cape Union Mart and a few smaller places. A salesman at Cape Union Mart told me that the local distributor of Tom Tom has stopped bringing them in and will stop supporting them.

Which is another good fitness watch to get? With HR monitor and under R4K preferably..... Any recommendations for any Polar models?

Don't think it has GPS, where the forerunner 30 does. But I'm not sure what your needs are.
