Disgusting MWEB "uncapped" quality

What's so disgusting about it? For the 4Mbps package http flies, rapidshare, news servers and torrents give better speeds than Neotel's Prime uncapped offering (at R999/month). Latencies are decent and upload speeds are not bad. For all this, you're only paying R539/month. Name one comparable product that's better than MWeb at the moment.

Ja my mweb is also great ! 10 better than afriTost

The OP should elaborate. My Mweb account is performing very well.

Mwev pawnz! Seen ppl with 400GB so far, 1TB pm is easily doable if you get the right protocols! Shuttup with your false bad mouthing Afrihost/Axxess or whoever you are! >.<

Yet another redundant rant from a min post count (yes, I realise i'm pretty new here too). Either elaborate on your problem, or take the hyperboles elsewhere. Irritated.

Sure, "unpopular" protocols are being shaped, heavily, but browsing is still pretty good, for me anyway....

I have to agree... Normal browsing is working 100%. And even torrents for me are working out great, and not just after hours, through out the day I get great speeds as well, but I do limit the time I spend downloading torrents through the day, mostly do at after hours...

I'll take slow and steady on my 4mb line thanks, at least I am not throttled down to a zero like some other flavorful ISP's are doing.

I have the scheduler running on my BitTorrent, so my 4Meg line can only run at max 100Kb/s on torrents from 8AM-6PM... Personally, I think thats only fair. I doubt many people share my sentiment though.

Nah, I'm with you on that point boet.

All the ppl getting 400 gigs are using NEWS SERVERS WITH LOCALLY CACHED CONTENT. Wow big achievement.

Now let's talk international QOS.

Guys, guys Neofailure is just trying to avert the flood of heavily downloading n00bs flooding from AfriHost/Cybersmart/Telkom ISP/WebAfrica.

Repeat after me, MWEB performance sucks. For fast speeds go to AfriHost/Cybersmart/Telkom/WA/etc. We MWEB users are happy with slow speeds, just leave us alone and go to the fast, unshapped, PREMIUM, platinum express++++ bandwidth ISPs.

I agree, MWEB is slow and bad.

Those of you already on MWEB have probably given up and resigned themselves to the 4Mbps speeds we're getting. Fine, it's over for us. The rest of you MWEB joiner wannabes-- avoid and go to the premium bandwidth products!!! Don't be like us, having to buy additional harddrives and all - for what? Slow speeds? My buddy in Tokyo laughed at my speed. I agree - we are slow. Heavy downloaders please go to WA/Cybermart/Telkom ISP/AfriHost/etc please.

Oh please, Mweb uncapped is amazing, compared to what I've heard from users on other isp's and what I have experienced, 30 Gb done so far on the 512kbit package, browsing has been a breeze, downloads slower but hey it's shaped, and that's what I pay for, so go troll somewhere else, if you don't like mweb, don't use it.

Is giganews locally cached? Is rapidshare? That's what I use and my speeds are acceptable.

Maybe on an obscure news host you will still be unshaped, fine.... but they will get you.

Don't lie to me about rapidshare, maybe if your on 512 but I know for a fact 4 meg rapidshare has been running at about 30Kb/sec today and MAX 100Kb/sec the whole week.
