I can't read that. And no, I don't run a pirated copy.
 
So which modes have you tried so far?

  1. Powers only
  2. Sword only
  3. Mixed - we all did this one initially
  4. Clean hands
  5. Ghost

I've only done 1, 2, 3 and probably will do 4 and 5 together as one run if I play again.

for 1,2,3 I don't use saves any more as it makes it way to easy. In fact, all of my recent runs was checkpoint only.

I've always just played as stealthy as possible. Sounds like a nice challenge though.

My first run was ghost and clean run
 
Shooting in the dark here - You've run something like Malwarebytes and verified there is no infection. - Then run HDtune and verify HDD/SSD healthy. Then what worries me, reseat one or remove one of your RAM modules if you have 2. Test thru means of elimination. Take a simple Ubuntu ISO and run memtest to check your RAM - RAM only passes after 2nd run of no errors.

There is nothing wrong with my PC. All other games and programs are running without issues. It is just this one game, which is very old, I know. It runs in windowed mode, but only crash when going fullscreen. Maybe it will run on my laptop, will see.
 
Definitely something wrong with the game/steam.

Installed now on my Precision 5550.

- Game starts, just before main menu, it crashes. This time it give no error code. Just closes down.
- "-windowed" mode. Same thing. Crashes.

- Cloudsync disabled, cloudsync enabled, windowed mode, game starts to menu. Full Screen.
So far so good. Whoop!

Now lets hope for the best.

More shooting in the dark - run it compatibility mode Win7 as Admin?

Wow, can't even remember the last time I had to download a game and those dodgy cracks. But I guess that is another option. For now it looks like I can play it on my laptop. Fortunately not a very demanding game for graphics.
