Hoping someone can offer some ideas here. Our Bosch dishwasher is not washing properly. The dishwasher tablets are not getting used up right (there's 3/4 of a tablet left after the wash), and plates etc. are not being cleaned adequately. This happens on any of the dishwasher cycles. As far as I know, water supply is fine, the rotors are not blocked, and the filter is clean.

Any ideas?

have you tried powder as in Calgonit to see if it dissolves fully ?

Is it possibly a water flow issue? Sand in the filter at the tap fitting from pipe repairs in your neighbourhood?

This is the most likely explanation.

I have a Bosch dishwasher and it works perfectly every time.

Yep
It sounds that there is a water pressure issue.
Check if pipe not kinked
Take inlet pipe off and check pressure and there's normally a filter which might need cleaning
While you at it clean the filter inside the machine as well

Hope you get sorted

Could also be that the water isn’t heating up to the right temperature, the grime on your dishes won’t be cleaned, and the tablet won’t dissolve.

Check the filters on the inlet pipe as well as the filter between pipe and machine and the water pressure on the inlet tap.

Some of these pipes have 2 filters on them then the machine has a 3'rd.

Are you hit with a cloud of hot steam when you open it at completion?

The element on your heating pump might be gone.

Water flow issues will cause the tap light to flash.

Had similar issues a while back.

Clean all filters ( inlet ) and on the bottom of the unit.
Also change the inlet solenoid valve. Think it was sticking. Cheap and easy to do yourself.

Haven’t had a issue since

I'll try the suggestions; time to pull the dishwasher out and climb behind it. :) It does get hot. Nothing's changed that I know of in the last few weeks, so I guess poking around is in order.

Extended warranty technicians replaced the pump/heater unit. It hasn't helped. Not sure if the next step is another repair, or replacement or credit.

Also remove the blades and clean them. Sometimes food clog them. As also stated, clean the filters, the one at the bottom and you can also remove the covers of the water sprays on the sides. Otherwise, it is a water pressure problem, which is odd, as most dishwashers complain about low pressure.

All done...

Techs came back, they're going to take it to the workshop and fix there.

Check that the blades at the top and bottom are spinning freely AFTER loading the dishwasher by giving it a push, a little protrusion from any dishes or cutlery can obstruct the proper rotation of the blades during the wash thus affecting the flow of water. Hope this helps.

Secondly name the brand of Tablets that you are using, there are some crappy quality brands out there that don't dissolve efficiently. Also provide the model just out of curiosity
