There are a plethora of Disney+ threads on glitches and content, but many of the hardware function differences just get buried.

So prefer to keep this to what devices have which functions. So, to start I've confirmed :

LG C7 - HDR works and actively switches but not Atmos.

Apple TV - Atmos works, but HDR doesn’t seem to really work and only stays in the same profile the main setting of the Apple TV is set to. So not really sure if I’m getting HDR or not.

That's same issue I have with RealMe - I'm not 100% sure. But thanks!

Yeah the TV’s info display says it’s Dolby Vision but I don’t see the “switching” as I do with everything else when I force it to SDR in the UI.

Which tells me it just runs inside the global setting and is either off or getting mapped completely wrong.

LG C1 2021 connected to 5.1.2 Atmos system via HDMI - I get 4K, Dolby Vision, stereo sound only (should support 5.1 and Atmos as Netflix, Apple TV+ etc. does)

Explora Ultra on LG C1 2021 connected to 5.1.2 Atmos system via HDMI - I get 720p , forced hdr10 (as Explora Ultra has no matched dynamic range function) and stereo sound only.

* Samsung Q70T (2020) - 1080 / stereo / HDR

Can only see HDR is enabled by looking at the TV settings. Content doesn’t show if it is HDR compatible as described in the FAQ

So just checked my neighbor C1 as well - and it's the same on his 5.1 system - only stereo.

He also has 4K / DV - so it seems the only thing lacking is sound.

Some Marvel titles *seem* IMAX based on aspect ratios, but I need to check. I've had no power 12+ hrs so may need to be tomorrow

I don't know much about them - do you get different models etc? Doesn't bwana use a Roku for Disney+?
They run their own app store. There is a Disney+ app on the US store, but they don't have one specifically for South Africa. Not sure they even have one for India, so Disney+ Hotstar may not work on Roku there either.

When Disney+ launched they had Black-ish season 8, which is the latest season. A week later it has been removed. Please be on the look out for shows that they might remove because of broadcasting rights.
