Hi all.
Hoping we can use this thread to put all issues and questions about Disney+ on various devices and possible solutions.

Hopefully we will get a Disney+ Rep on here to escalate some of the issues.
 
First Issues I had.
LG TV 49UJ670 Continue watching not working at all.

Fire TV Stick 4K and Fire Tablet (US Versions). Shows not available in this country
 
Chromecast with Google TV:
1. Video stutters, eventually the playback restarts from beginning. Temp fix is to Log out and login again.
2. There are no options to choose between Continue or Restart for playback.

Amazon Fire TV Pendant:
Disney+ app is not available. Logged in with a ZA account in ZA appstore. No fix. Disney support do not seem to escalate this or know how to resolve it.
 
Macbook using Firefox/ Safari
Encountered an issue whereby I was stuck on the “who’s watching” profile page. When selecting my profile icon, the page would simply reload itself. Disney Support solution was to download a new browser and log in afresh which worked. Alternatively I would presume clearing one’s cookies to work as well.

For my FireTV stick. I did a factory reset, registered with a pin on US. Account was previously on UK. Worked after doing this
 
Visiting Australia. I had Disney+ working fine on Safari at home but now when I launch the app it wants me to log in and it only gives email address/password option.

The Apple TV app is …utter cr@p. Seriously for a service with such great content - the SA app is as poor as the content is great. FFS fix it. And pls don’t let me point out what’s so obviously cr@p about the app. FIX IT
 
I realised yesterday, that one of the big "issues" with the D+ Apple TV app, is that once you've watched a show or movie, it doesn't give you the option to restart or to resume - it just defaults to resume. If you wanted to watch something again, you'd have to use the terrible rewind controls or watch it on different profile.
 
Still no Windows or Mac apps either... so if you're watching on a PC or Mac you're still limited to streaming through a browser and 1080p at most.
 
I recently subscribed to D+ and observed that none of their original content is in Dolby Atmos. Am I the only one seeing this? On the US app, I get their original content in Dolby Atmos.

It depends on where you run the South African one.
 
The apple tv app well and truely sucks donkey bits. It needs a total overhaul.

At least you can still watch stuff. The Android TV app gives you a black screen if your TV is Dolby Vision and your device isn't...
 
On a phone, the app closes if you go home it doesn't staying pic in pic like all the other services. Pathetic.
 
WebOS app :

No support for Atmos or even 5.1

Next episode doesn't resume. You have to watch all credits. You don't even get option to start next episode.

If you don't watch all the credits , your viewing queue shows everything you have watched that appears to be 75% complete because the remaining bits are the credits . Seriously do their devs do no fscken UA testing?



SA service in general:-
Sms password option sucks. They need to ditch it. Sometimes sms comes quickly , sometimes you have to use the call option.

You can't see before you start a movie what formats and audio is available
(e.g 4k Dolby Vision, Atmos)

Funny enough, it's not all Android TV.

There is a guy on here where his Ematic has the black screen issue, but his old LIT doesn't

I'm curios as to a possible reason - what are you using?
