Disney Plus Issues and Solutions

the app on the tv is just to problematic, have stopped watching the damn thing.
 
Even on a Chromecast with Google TV streaming over wifi6 on a 500Mbps line it's STILL trash
 
Got both US and SA Disney app on AppleTV . Us quality is much better . SA app is badly designed and quality appalling. If you have a US account rather stick to US Disney plus. SA version also not available on a lot of devices same failure as many other left over South African streaming services have .

No support for Atmos or even 5.1

Next episode doesn't resume. You have to watch all credits. You don't even get option to start next episode.

If you don't watch all the credits , your viewing queue shows everything you have watched that appears to be 75% complete because the remaining bits are the credits . Seriously do their devs do no fscken UA testing?



SA service in general:-
Sms password option sucks. They need to ditch it. Sometimes sms comes quickly , sometimes you have to use the call option.

You can't see before you start a movie what formats and audio is available
(e.g 4k Dolby Vision, Atmos)
I'm getting this on the Xiaomi TV stick. Quite annoying.

See the link in the above post - will not be subscribing to a service with such a crappy app, sorry. I will use alternative means to view fit for purpose content.

Meh the issues I've run into so far have been minor.

The app is hot garbage though that I will readily agree with. Compared to the Netflix app it's clunky and lacks features.
 
I'm so glad I don't (have to) care about 4k and special audio requirements.

Life for us poorer folks is just much easier. Shitgets real when I get to Checkers and Engen, but at home, life is easy.

For a company competing with Netflix etc. they could make a better effort with their app and content. As bad as DSTV is their app was better, when I last saw it.
 
How do you get Us content on SA Disney+ APP tried with VPN but got error that you should disconnect the VPN?

On the price point I paid for it they're not really competing with Netflix.

They're competing with half of Netflix... which is about right considering how trash that app is, but how big the content library is.

Still, I can do without their cheaper than chips app, and matching content from Hotstar platform, if they gave us the US/EU app and same quality content, then I 'd bite.

You need the Indian/South African app from the South African App Store and the worldwide app from any other worldwide store and a subs for both services . I created my own redirector/vpn to support both regions .
