Disney Plus Issues and Solutions

The thing about D+ for SA is that it contains Hulu shows. It would be a bargain if they fix all of the problems.

D+ for the US lacks those shows, so you would also need Hulu for a larger library. Fortunately, they have the D+ & Hulu bundle, but it works out a bit more expensive ($13.99/month = R215).

D+ SA Star is Hulu “lite” and only contains a small fraction of Hulus offering

The "D+ & Hulu bundle" also includes ESPN+.

FWIW Disney+ Stars can't show all the content that Hulu can because of licensing. Some of Hulu's content originates from numerous other networks outside of Disney's domain.

FWIW the subs are worth it.

Yep, that is true. I barely used Hulu so wasn’t too sure but did notice a lot of the shows and movies were on our D+

Still no Dolby Vision or even letting the Apple TV know a video is playing. Breaks all my automations as Home Assistant doesn’t know that the state has changed. This works on every other app (even DSTV) which was the worst app ever until this Hotstar piece of garbage arrived.

Hopefully it’s coming soon.

Don't hold your breath ....

Apple TV and D+ I have the Discovery Channel showing up and can watch shows there
Android TV and D+ no Discovery Channel

Both using same cell number for account.

Yeah not sure where Discovery comes into it, they're owned by Warner not Disney...

You sure about that?

Does Disney+ keep a record of all logged in or used devices? In the beginning I was playing with my login details on many devices to see which offered the best experience.

If they do - can I delete?
And I only have 1 TV at home - is it possible to login at my folks as well?

I see no reason why not, besides, they have 4 connections, don't they?

Yea just wondered if they have any limitation, like Netflix and their 4 streams being within a single house.

But seems to work :)
