WebOS app :

No support for Atmos or even 5.1

Next episode doesn't resume. You have to watch all credits. You don't even get option to start next episode.

If you don't watch all the credits , your viewing queue shows everything you have watched that appears to be 75% complete because the remaining bits are the credits . Seriously do their devs do no fscken UA testing?



SA service in general:-
Sms password option sucks. They need to ditch it. Sometimes sms comes quickly , sometimes you have to use the call option.

You can't see before you start a movie what formats and audio is available
(e.g 4k Dolby Vision, Atmos)
I wish they'd have a rating system on what you've watched so it could start curating. My Netflix is pretty good on knowing what I'd like.

I also wish they'd have a another way of searching all their content. The titles appear to be 2,000+ - but you have to know and search for them.

I think he means what device. Every device has different functionality. My Samsung is 1080 and stereo, the LG are often 4k and stereo - and the Apple does (to my knowledge) offer Atmos.

I've even heard the Chromecast can go 720 for DV. And 4K with standard HDR.

So far the 'best' experience is the app on LG TV.

The ATV app does not make for a great experience.

Decided to let my kids watch frozen 2 on d+ on WebOS app (instead of my 4k trueHD version hosted on my Plex)

It was just after my previous post. Well that was a **** show of note. App regularly went to like 480p or something , sound went to like 64kbps MP3. It was the sound doing that that alerted me to pay attention.

Seriously their CDN or something is truly fscked or they haven't got anything in South Africa. I am on 200mbps internet line and my other webos apps have no issue with 4k Ultra HD with full surround sound tracks. Talking about Netflix and YouTube which are always flawless. Prime and AppleTV plus take a bit longer to get to 4k but once there, it's super stable.

The LG TV is stereo sound - which is an issue. Although it says 4k, I think it may be upscaled?

I thought the best was Apple TV
 
Funny enough, it's not all Android TV.

There is a guy on here where his Ematic has the black screen issue, but his old LIT doesn't

I'm curios as to a possible reason - what are you using?

I'm not referring to the sound and picture quality - I'm referring to the actual App - note the missing menu items in the pictures below. In addition, the ATV App doesn't have a visual indicator (tick or outline circle) to show which profile is active.

Cancelled my Sub due to lack of device support.
High seas easier sailing that plugging in a laptop every time I wanna watch something.

Will revisit once they get PS or Xbox support.
Same here although I have a feeling they're not going to bother with console apps any time soon. Unfortunately it seems that the majority of South Africans are quite happy with sub par quality from Disney+ judging from how happy most are on the Disney+ Facebook page.

I'll also be sailing the High seas for the odd series or movie that I want to watch and best part is it will probably be in better quality as well.

Read the posts under Disney+ sponsored ads for all the unhappy customers. Plenty of them.
 
Only profile, search and home icons
I'd say having 4k and proper sound is more important than a fairly minor usability aspect like a couple of shortcuts being missing on the side.

Damn it! That would make life a bit easier.
It would save a little scrolling, but I think the same lists are essentially there anyway.

There are hundreds of complaints on their Facebook page. Probably every single post on that page is followed by a long list of complaints.
