Disney's 'Elemental,' which features 'non-binary' character, flops in opening weekend

What about Jesus? What was he?

You must know by now.

In all fairness, even being off the rails a bit, Fast X managed to gross $300m. Much better than this $29m.

Super Marios Bros managed $500m+
Guardians of the Galaxy managed $344m+
Spiderman managed $288m
Avatar managed $250m

So, that is not the reason. A lot of money still to be made. Just make the right stuff and close Disney down. They lost touch with reality.

Oh, and if you want, I can keep listing all the movies that did better than the $29m this one made....
It's still way down compared to pre-COVID levels.....

But it's slowly getting back there.

There just haven't been that many great movies this year so far.

Picking out all the exceptions does not make the argument.

People are just not going to the movies like they used to.

They are also failing to mention that those movies are part of already popular franchises. Elemental is a one off film.

I do not disagree, but let's draw a line between a movie grossing $29m over opening weekend and one grossing $300m over opening weekend.

Surely this tells you something?

Surely this tells you something about the majority of the people, right?

They are also not mentioning that this is a release by a major brand, Disney who spent $200m on production and probably half a Billion on marketing too. And, despite this a major flop.

No. One movie flopping can't possibly tell what the majority of people stand for.
