In the recent 2 weeks, I have a couple of people complaining that they get through to someone else if they phone my number. I checked my diverts, but none of the diverts is activated.
Even my caller ID shows no indication of those people ever phoning.

What could cause this? :(

Issues on the network's side maybe? When they get through to other people, do they ask what number it is that they have? Is it always the same people?

All of them says it sounds like a me, this guy is pretending to know me. My friend phoned the weekend all the way from Taiwan, he kept her on the phone telling her to hold on, that he is taking the phone over to me. But obviously that never happens. :(

Hmmm... It could also be that he has been receiving lots of calls for you, and has become disgruntled and has decided to be malicious (I know of plenty of people that, upon receiving multiple wrong-number calls, just leave the caller hanging, while they are being charged for the call).

You should speak to your service provider and get it all sorted out ASAP

Dude, this is DEFINITELY network-related. They'll insist that it isn't your problem. They'll even probably tell you that it is your hand set and you should try resetting it or changing your SIM Card - useless operators..

Many people are going through the exact same and similar issues. It happens to my friend, when I call him, and when we speaking during a conversation it would just hop onto this other dude.

And then it's the 'Network Busy' error!

So what are you going to do to try to rectify things?

I have to admit I do the same thing if somebody phones me 3 times in a row and I tell them they have the wrong number. Never thought that it could be network related. I also had a call the other day from a number and when I looked at it.. I realised it was my number. Its happened a few times now.

If it is a network issue though I guess I'll stop doing it. Unless I know for a fact that the person on the otherside is just being stupid after I've verified that they do in fact have the wrong number

True: stupidity requires a lesson in order to learn.
