Overall, an interesting product more than anything else, and very visually appealing.

Every now and again, a product really catches my eye in terms of looks.

These speakers definitely fall into that category. They strike me more as a trendy fashion item than a high-tech, high-fidelity piece of equipment, but they fill their role beautifully, with their curiously ‘organic’ look, which is reminiscent of a pair of eyes on stalks.

The speakers stand on prehensile tubes, which can be bent in many creative ways (though the bases are quite small, so the speaker ‘head’ needs to remain vertically above the base in order to remain stable).

Unfortunately, the sound is not particularly impressive – you’re certainly not going to be using these in a home theatre setup! However, this is not this product’s role. It is designed to look cool (and a touch weird!) standing ona desk, flanking a laptop, for example. Also, they are well priced for what they offer. These speakers are available in a range of colours, so can be chosen to match your preferences or your existing decor. The speakers draw their power from a USB port, so no power point is required, but would have been even better if they had a rechargeable battery, allowing them to be carried around with a laptop.

Overall, an interesting product more than anything else, and very visually appealing.
