Bought a set of the Divoom Titan 767s today for a friend. Wasn't able to have a look and am waiting to hear from him how they sound.

The box was nice and heavy, something I wasn't expecting for R310 2.1 speakers. They're rated at 45watts RMS. My Logitech Z4s are 45watts RMS or so and cost R800...

So who's got Divoom speakers, and what do you think of them?

I've got the ARES-300. 43 Watts (23w sub-w, 20w satellites).

For R275 (including markup of local shop and VAT) I can't complain.

The satellites are not very strong but for a school classroom it's fine.

Not sure yet, best quality at the lowest price I guess;)

Any suggestions? I was looking at spending around 450 to 500 SA Rands.

These look pretty decent and are within your budget - http://www.divoom.com/X2.htm.

Just a pity they have controls on the sub. Never understood this, as the sub should go on the floor for best sound. Seems like they want us to put them next to us on the desk...

The advantage I guess is that after some playing around I'm sure one will find the sweet-spot which best suits their ears. I haven't seen Logitech or Creative "cheapies" with those sorts of controls.

Those look like they would be powerfull enough just the build looks a bit kuk.

I actually ordered the 767 model too, still waiting for them, seems they are heavier than Take2 anticipated [require courier].

Anyhow the main reason i picked them was actually the fact that it has all the audio IN inputs [i.e. to plug your xbox directly into it] which most PC-speaker systems don't have [most definitely not in that price range, the PC speaker types only have the cable to plug into your soundcard].

Also it got the headphone jack [vista is a royal pain with switching between headphones and speakers directly plugged in] .

Ja, those are very nice features.

My client wanted something cheap, got them the Atom 357 2.1 set, they were R240-00. Client was very happy and me very impressed.
