Having said that, I do own 1 genuine player and 1 el-cheapoand it hasn't faulted yet.
I understand the views you guys have, but you must remember that if it's a cheap product, they obviously used cheap materials to make it. These cheap materials(cheap lasers etc...) could damage the discs you put in it and you might have trouble replacing/repairing the player and then you want to go and buy another cheap one? You can't buy something with the thought that it might break and it's a waste of money, so you opt for the cheap one. But hey, if it works then all is good
For example, don't buy Diamond.

that's why you should rip or make back-ups of your movies before you put them in your player!The originals get safely stored in a cupboard somewhere. I started doing that after Shrek got dragged across the floor and "played with" by a two year old. The Disc was so scratched it would not play anymore. Looked like it had been sandpapered!
