Do Afrihost block websites?

For me they told me this "you cannot access our router settings" now I can't game, Netflix won't load, Amazon prime, basically only YouTube works and certain websites like mybroadband lol best ISP so far 6 days in hell with them as the torturers

Mobile package? Because that’s a whole different ball game.

But also you could just use any other router.

By the way you don’t need special ports open for Netflix, Amazon or pretty much anything with an outgoing connection.

Listen, I dont very much like afrihost, but ... extraordinary claims require extraordinary proof

At the very least you need to share what package you are on etc
nothing extraordinary here just Afrihost at their best vuma reach chose Afrihost uncapped fixed recurring 20mbps down and 10mbps up I get the fastest speed on pc is 56kb/s sometimes if I'm lucky I get to 60kb/s on my TV I get capped at 300kb/s

How do you keep your lights on?
I work my buddy and right now with this speeds and blocking of sites i can't work at all

yep i am trying to get the order right of the various problems so i know how to word it many won't understand the situation i am in, also i would like to point out i don't want to hijack anyone else's thread and i kinda have already and i am truly sorry about that.
At least you can post on the forum! Thank goodness!

Lmk if you need more proof

That just shows your pipe to akamai is a bit wonky. What DNS do you use. What does a tracert to 2.17.165.2 look like?

You say you are on Vuma Reach, could be a contributing factor, but there one would expect contention to hit your whole line

Vuma Reach routers are locked by Vumatel, Afrihost has no hand in it. Vuma Reach is a very basic service, managed by Vumatel, ISP's are basically just providing the support for it. They troubleshoot and log with Vumatel.

With most slow access cases with fibre the issue lies at the FNO.
