Do all humans have souls?

I believe that everything gets recycled and ultimately we are all what we were and what we will be.

The thing about being a christian and life in general is that you have to form your own opinions.

You can take in the teachings of your teachers or scripture, at the end you must make up your own mind.

As far as I can tell you know bible teachings and have experienced the supernatural. It is easier to try and forget, pretend like none of those things ever existed.

Is this the same science that says parallel universes exist except we can't see them or perceive any evidence of them? Yeah.. Afterlife is really a stretch.

i hate those documentaries :erm: even more so those ones where they bring dinosaurs back to life and pretend to be experts on them :erm:

that reminds me of the joke about heaven. when an atheist died he went to heaven and an angel was waiting for him at the gate. they asked him what his beliefs were, and he said he was an atheist. they said, okay, you must go to door number 7, but keep quiet and tiptoe past the doors with the chrisians, catholics and muslims. he asked why, and the angel said it's because they think they're the only ones up here :p

I gotta ask those who say souls are real

1. when exactly do you get this "soul"?

2. Do monkeys/dogs/etc have souls?

3. And lastly, If you consist of both a body and a soul, which makes the good/bad choices? your brain, or your soul?

This is the issue. These questions are unanswerable and anybody claiming to be able to answer them is lying or just deceiving themselves. If there are no answers for these most fundamental questions why bother entertaining the idea at all?
 
Floating and looking down at yourself sleeping is nothing new. I call it dreaming. It's the same as hearing someone call and then fighting against waking up. I don't get that dream anymore because an alarm now wake me.

In the dream thread you can read about taking control of your dreams. This is in the same league.

Yep. Your brain creates DMT when you sleep.
People who take the DMT drug have this "out of body" floating experience a lot.

Just because your brain thinks something is real, doesn't mean it is. Otherwise we might as well say unicorns are real because people see them in their dreams.
