Do mist fans work?

I am keen on one.

Any new opinions? It will be used just to keep cool. No chest issues.

I got a Russell Hobbs. Been going for years now, but I don't use the mist function as it's humid enough here by the coast. It's nice that it has a remote control and timer function.

I am also thinking of buying one , but I have heard that must fans make everything wet as continuous mist is coming out so in that case, water coolers will be better .?...but then I think that in mist fan, one can run it without mist mode (i.e fan only mode) , so if I may want mist sometimes , so that is an additional option ...so is mist fan actually overall better than water cooler..?..

Just don't buy any of these if you're in a humid environment already.

Just get n strong normal fan. Why introduce water into your lounge or bedroom or wherever?
