Do not type your PIN in reverse at an ATM

Make is the definition of best?

What is my goal: I want to send my money from my account to your account for next to nothing.

Capitec does exactly that.

So what does FNB do? Do they send the money faster do they charge less?

What is the best?

UX and functionality dumbass... how is pricing linked to something as specific as internet banking?

So personal insults aside.

What is the function of Internet banking, send money from a to b

Why does UI play a role here will it make you send more/less money?

What functionality does FNB offer to send money from a to b that Capitec doesn't?

Why is pricing linked, because Absa charges for Internet banking last time I was with them and one of the reasons why I moved over to capitec.

Fnb also not charging for internet banking.
And i can change my pin from same screen if i forgot it

Is banking just about "send money from a to b"? No, don't be silly. Paying someone is just but 1 function.
What about: debit order management, statements, buying VAS, management of accounts, card, investments, profile....

so first you mention pricing of the actual transaction, then when called on it, you move the goal post to who charges for internet banking lol

... not to mention interface to Treasury and Forex systems, electronic BoP form processing and reporting ...

Thor, electronic banking is a LOT more than you seem to suspect.

Show me the journey map for making a PayPal withdrawal through FNB's online banking, then, once you've drawn your 100th full A3 page and still can't fit it because it is pathetic on the UX front, then come back and tell us about UX and FNB.

It is a complete clusterf@#$

EDIT: another fun fact, the function I just mentioned only works in IE, not in Chrome /slow clap FNB

and comparing the whole experience holistically across different banks? how does FNB then measure about with functionality and user experience?

Depends on your profile, for my profile I can tell you with absolute certainty that Capitec's online banking does everything I need, it's not pretty, but it is very easy to use. It also works in all browsers.

I have no doubt FNB supports more functionality, other than the PayPal stuff I've not used it, but in general the online banking looks prettier, yet less intuitive to use and it seems to only work properly in IE.

Nedbank and ABSA's online banking is just plain nasty imo, SBSA seems decent enough.

I have only ever used two online banking facilities, SBSA and ABSA. I found ABSA the most useless and ABSA so completely confusing that most of the time the connection timed out before I could actually find out where I had to do what to complete the transaction I wanted.

It is impossible to compare them unless you actually use the various banking sites on a regular basis.

SBSA is pathetic... you cannot fathom how a big bank like that has such a pathetic internet banking function list.

Better than the banks for morons (god help those who bank with ABSA, SB and ND, even worse for them)...

ja look, capitec is simple... and that's it whole value prop. fnb is most functional and best digital...

i don't have experience with absa, but a bank that charges for internet banking should be shot.
nedbank i was at years ago... and it was mediocre, i heard the new interface sucks ass.
sbsa my wife is with standard bank and I had a credit card with them... new interface is useless... can't do anything... old interface feels like something from 1999, and lacking soo much.

Actually the old interface still works better than the new one in my opinion. I do not like any of the so-called "new" interfaces on many websites. They are designed for idiots who do not want to think for themselves. And if you spend some time with the "new" SBSA interface, you will find everything is there that you need, BUT in places where a normal thinking and intelligent human being would not think to look. But hey that is the modern trend, dumb down everything to the LCD.

FNB has the best internet banking in the country. Fact.

How would you compare it to Nedbank? And be specific...
Tell me all about your bank charges and what it takes to investigate a 6 month old transaction.
Nee sies man!

And can you pay anyone instantly? Unfortunately not. Some accounts get rejected without explanation. I can pay my FNB account instantly from Nedbank but not the other way around because (as the call center explained) "we don't support that type of account" (vanilla Nedbank cheque account)
