Afrihost is the worste choice you can make when looking for a lte provider . They advertise falsely which is illegal, do not trust them when they say you will have coverage and if you are unfortunate enough to have to try get a refund they will lie to you constantly. Their agents follow a script when dealing with customers that goes as follows:
Appologise -> agree with you -> sympathise -> offer assistance by putting notes on their system and escalating your case . Same responce every time but the cannot or will not do what they say .Do not make the mistake of signing up with them you will regret it .

Much as I would like to endorse your views, Don, your post lacks the evidence necessary make it credible. There is too much 'dis'in it without properly citing what the problem is, how it was reported, who you spoke to, how long you have been trying to get it resolved, etc., etc.

Many threads her about Afrifail’s fall from grace and the fact that Gian is now likely not even with the company anymore.

How did the Advertising Regulatory Board respond after you lodged a complaint with them?
It states that the advertising regulatory board can get the company to remove the false advertising but not aid in recovering the money . So from my side that achieves nothing . Afrihosts website displays areas of coverage that are false . They are aware they have lost coverage on many areas , I'm sure their share holders knew in advance but to the would be customer nothing is mentioned .

It's a broad warning , my specific problem is subscribing to a lte service to which I found out my area does not have , they have a website to check your areas coverage and if it does have you can continue the subscription process . From what I have read a contract with mtn expired and they have lost service in many areas , whether or not this is true my area said it was under coverage and was not , I literally walked my area with a cell c sim card in my phone and could not get reception , so why not say so in the first place or remove the web coverage app or at very least a statement on the website warning of the issue . After that I've had to jump through hoops with technitions and call agents wasting my time and setting up courier collection times ( router return ) where they do not pitch . I have to cancel appointments with clients to be available and no one shows up or calls to cancell. So as I said before a dont deal with afrihost.

Afrihost WAS the best. Was with them for years, but Im so glad i moved. There will always be problems everywhere and its all about how it can be resolved and fast it can be resolved for me.

Because you will always run into a problem. The question is if the problem can be solved. It takes two people to communicate properly for a problem to be solved.
My friend do not imply that the problem is with my communications, I have them all recorded for my legal purposes. They are completly at fault , I caught an agent lying to me today and he admitted it was his error only after I offered him the recording. This company has messed me around non stop .

Agree. If you are not happy best to move. There was a patch where their support went completely backwards and they didn't have enough staff. But I think it should be better now. I still think their ticket system doesn't always work the way it is supposed to work and cause a lot of confusion among all parties.

I used to be with Afrihost a few years back- they were useless then and what many of my clients tell me nowadays is that they’re still useless.

Our current office provider is Afrihost and they’re useless.

There are enough complaints here and on sites like Hellopeter to prove that they have issues with just about every aspect of their business.

Don’t use Afrihost if you want a happy life. The end

At the end of the day Afrihost is offering a substandard service or no service at all , I was offered a service they knowingly could not provide, issues are not resolved promptly or go completly ignored , I am still waiting for them to sort out my refund after multiple attempts and me going to extra mile to appease their delivery service which seems where not even contacted in the first place which I feel was out of spite for reasonably wanting my money back (they did not want to reimburse the full amount and still might not as I'm sure they will invent a loophole). If you do have to deal with them record everything take video and screen shots for your own safety. I was blatently lied to until I used my own records to prove otherwise .When choosing a lte network try test the coverage first using your cellphone then ask people in your area who they are using and if possible find out what service provider has the nearest cell tower and ofcoarse read as many reviews as possible but know that their will be people who are affiliated with providers who will be giving false reviews in an attempt to do damage controll for failing companies , check the profiles of suspicious commenters and check their post activity to avoid believing a false report.

Firstly I would like to apologize for the horrible experience you have had. No matter that issue was or what has transpired, any client of ours shouldn't be pushed to a point where they need to warn people not use our services and for that I am sorry.

When it comes to coverage. This is something we don't determine as this done through Cell C. We don't advertise whether you have coverage or not. This is why we give you a service that will allow you to check this information. Again since we don't determine the coverage we do discourage anybody from signing up if they aren't covered.

I am more than willing to find out what is happening with your account with regards to your refund that was promised. Please send a PM with your account information and I will get on this for you.

Gian is definitely still with the company and is still hands on with all aspects of the company.
