Do the right thing, Microsoft

Here is a small reason from a IT support person:

Why does it takes ages for a newly installed printer to show in Devices and Printers in Win10, 8 and 8.1 so one can make required changes? Why can Win7 just show the newly installed printer immediately?

So I'd rather install a printer for someone on Win7 than WinNewer...

Been working in IT for 10+ years, I know every single OS has their quirks and stupidities. I haven't had the problem with printers you mentioned but I have had some stupid problems on any OS which would definitely not make me not use said OS.

For my personal gaming PC at home I also prefer windows 10 as it runs smooth as butter without any issues and all games work very well, I haven't had issues at all on my Gaming PC specifically related to windows 10

Grates my carrot as well. Had this issue with some Win8.x and most Win10 installs. Irritating.

It is quite annoying yes, especially if your on the Fast ring for insider updates and this happens every week or two.

Also, Windows 10 is awesome, I don't see why people are so very reluctant to change to it and stick Windows 7

Why change from something that works, perfectly?
Don't criticize other people if you fell for their silly sales pitch :p

Hadn't noticed this, maybe because 99.9% of the time you open the browser first?
Linux users are such whiners. :p

Windows 8 also uses a new printer driver model that supports a wider variety of printers with fewer drivers. The architecture is simplified, and Microsoft wants printer manufacturers to stop including system services with their drivers, reducing bloatware.
I recall MS testing it with 100's of printers and it supported 90% of all printers out there OOBE. So just plug in the printer and wait for it to install.

But why? Don't see the point...

Comodo Dragon has got built in support for using their DNS servers (just an example). Most of these, like the aforementioned, are using Chrome or Firefox underneath.

The best use is for when you have to test accounts for clients or family members - and you don't want to sign into their accounts on your normal browser....

http://www.howtogeek.com/280527/how-to-create-a-guest-account-in-windows-10/

If you find that your guests are asking fairly often to use your computer temporarily to check their email or look something up on the web, you don’t have to let them use your personal account or create a special account for each guest.

Windows used to have a dedicated Guest account you could enable that would allow someone to temporarily use your computer, while ensuring they wouldn’t see your private data. Guest accounts also had limited access, so anyone logged in as a guest couldn’t install software or change system settings.

or even easier is Chrome that can handle more then one browser account...

I am NOT creating a whole 'nother guest account (and wasting all that hard drive space) just to temporarily log into someone's account.
It's not them that are using my computer - it's me that is testing their Gmail or Facebook and configuring or changing settings for them.

Firefox also allows for different profiles - but I prefer not to clutter up my own browser at all.

But you'll clutter it up by installing another browser  then just download a portable version of Chrome/Firefox...

You don't get it. I do IT work for a living. I test and build computers and repair them. I do software configuration and installation. I test people's accounts for them. And I do it often enough that having several spare browsers installed is a necessity.
I can pop one open and configure their account (and still have my own browser open at the same time in the background). It's much easier to multi-task that way than logging in and out of guest accounts. I can also test web pages in the alternative browsers. Maybe not everyone has those same needs as me - but it is useful to me.

If Microsoft did the right thing they would remove Windows 10 from the market! :crylaugh:

If MS did the right thing they will remove windows versions older than 10 from the market.

I have had my default browser set to Chrome and never had to change back to Edge.

I found the IT guy that installs clutter on our machines. Also any IT guy worth his salt will know they can open more than one window of the same browser and you don't need separate browser installs to do so.
