Do the right thing, Microsoft

If Microsoft did the right thing they would remove Windows 10 from the market! :crylaugh:

That's weird... I had to go set Edge as my default browser myself*

* The reason I had to do such a thing is not in scope of this article or the discussion but do know that I'm not very happy about my actions

They were holding your first born hostage?

complicated to change your default browser.......?
click the search icon/Cortana, type "default"....select "default programs"
there you go......choose your default web browser.

seems pretty easy.

Think the issue here is MS resetting the default browser without the user's permission which is "unfair" towards the competition. The bigger issue is how annoying AF it would be if it happened to me.

It is quite annoying yes, especially if your on the Fast ring for insider updates and this happens every week or two.

Also, Windows 10 is awesome, I don't see why people are so very reluctant to change to it and stick Windows 7

Any os system using my pc as a server...
Not going to happen.

Here is a small reason from a IT support person:

Why does it takes ages for a newly installed printer to show in Devices and Printers in Win10, 8 and 8.1 so one can make required changes? Why can Win7 just show the newly installed printer immediately?

So I'd rather install a printer for someone on Win7 than WinNewer...

Mentioned this previously on the forum, how they got away with this in the first place is beyond me especially given their history.

Yeah, that really gets on my manboobs.

The problem is its not just the browser , it sets ALL defaults back.

Browser: MS Edge
PDF: MS Edge (This is my biggest problem)
Music: Music App
Movies: Movie App
etc...

It is just plain and simple stupid especially if you have a mid size corporate , where suddenly people cant print from PDF or fill out there Sars forms at random times in the month, in my opinion its extremely anti-competitive even more so than bundling Internet Explorer into Windows 98, which landed them a lawsuit in the 90s.
