It's true , some Covid patients get infected and have mild symptoms.I wonder whats the point of this dramatic post? Is it to score symphathy points by being a crisis actor/fear monger? I can easily share far more stories, at a rate of 10:1, of people I personally know who had no smell and taste for 3 days - And that was it.
I can also add of 1 person I know who had trouble breathing. They are currently obese, so...
As LCBXX would put it, did you comply with all government laws to not spread this virus?
Gotta love how its always the populations fault![]()
After some years, having laws that can't be enforced results in citizens ignoring more laws - in other words, a chaotic society. Government in general should carefully consider the need for a law before just adding one more to the statute books.
I think level 3 must give it a chance, and reduce some restrictions on restaurants ,clubs and tarven buy and go home 10am to 4pm that's it. Harsh on liquor if you fail to comply ,if so it gives all business to survive through this time of hardships and fighting poverty in the countryWith a recorded 21832 new cases yesterday, including 844* reported deaths, do you think we need to go back to a harder lockdown? Or do we need to give the current level (three) time to work? Or perhaps dispense with lockdown altogether?
*It should be noted that of the 844 the 452 reported from the Eastern Cape were as result of a "data reconciliation dating between May and November 2020"

I am sorry about your experience and the aftermath. I wish this on nobody. NOBODY. I hope that you and yours find the strength to rebuild. We will all have to pull ourselves up so that we can rebuild, from whatever is left after this all ends. IF it does not end, we need to find a new way of building to manage and survive.Saving lives should be priority number 1. This virus is definitely no joke. I had Covid and yes, i almost seen my own ass. I was 13days trying to fight it naturaly with pills and vitamins and nebulizing 3-4 times daily. Ate healthy and all that. On day 14 i could not breathe... I then spent another 10days in hospital on Oxygen. Total 23days i had covid. I could not breathe and could hardly eat anything. It was downhill for most parts. It was a hard fight to come back. I promise you, I could hardly walk 15meters. When going to the toilet i have to time myself. Cause when you take the oxygen off your face you have 30-35seconds before you need that oxygen. Standing up from hospital bed, opening toilet door. Walking slowly cause i'm tired as hell. Quickly peeing, timing myself. Walking back to door opening it up, then rush for the bed to put my oxygen mask back on. Then 20 seconds just breathing in that good oxygen to get my breathe back.
Even when i was discharged, at home i could walk from my room to TV room slowly and had to sit down for 20seconds to recoup. It took me another week and a half to regather the lung capacity to be back to what i was before.
Covid19 literally takes the breath and strength out of your steps. It's not something to play with, this thing takes many people's lives.
My whole family got Covid, i picked it up at the workplace at a client. My brother and my dad survived by taking meds at home and vitamins, but my dad was coughing heavily and it was almost a hospital case too. Luckily he didn't need a hospital. My mother went into hospital 1 day after i went in. She passed on, on the 5th of Jan 1am the morning.
Our family is in shambles, we are truly broken and trying to pick up the pieces. As she was the heart and rock of our family. The last few days has been the worst days i've ever had and would not wish it onto my worst enemy.
Please people, be safe.
Enforce level 3 everywhere not just where it can be seen around the malls and beaches.
agreed, laws are for people who follow them, who told you people in SA respect any laws?Enforce, this country cannot enforce anything, you have a small percentage of law abiding folks, and the rest do as they please, so lock down at any level is a pipe dream. Forget it. 95% of the population are giving the lockdown the middle finger.
Seems that's close to double the normal amount of testing? Who'd have thought the more you test the higher the number of new cases would be.
Funerals and taxis and ques at government offices - Super Spreaders! With a recorded 21832 new cases yesterday, including 844* reported deaths, do you think we need to go back to a harder lockdown? Sounds like a description of "lockdown" enthusiasts. It is not effecting them so they don't care.
The regulations themselves are not sensible. Hence neither will be the enforcement. They never needed to close beaches. The Garden Route in particular is glaringly obviously a case of stepping in too late. The numbers show very clearly that the turnaround happened just as they initially closed the beaches.Lockdown the areas violating the rules. Let the rest of us carry on as per normal in whatever level of lockdown we are in.
Stop with the beaches...there are people having parties and flaunting the pictures on FB yet people on beaches meters apart from each other will be hunted down.
Well that's at least one positive. And drug lords left to carry on their business.
You're assuming "lockdown", whatever that means, is making a positive difference. First define "lockdown", then you can consider showing that whatever you define as "lockdown" is effective. Preferably measure by measure. Some things might be effective, however it is obvious that the state's approach is not based on science, but instead more of a sawn-off shotgun approach. So what is effective and how effective? All the people who voted "end lockdown" - What do you suppose we do with the "no beds available in hospitals" situation?
