Do you drink and LAN?

I have learned the hard way. Don't drink and play car racing games.
 
Occasionally, its fun:D, altho my buddies who take it seriously get pissed off. If you asked me they should get pissed
 
I suffer to do both at the same time because I get so into a game that i forget to drink.:D
 
We tried a drinking type thing once... Carmageddon (can't recall which one) mixed with some FPS games.

Basically, the winner had to drink. The drinking didn't go fast enough to affect performance, so the winner did a lot of drinking, while no-one else needed to :p
 
Tried it once. Unreal Tournament and 3 bottles of Vodka. Halfway through the booze one dude was under a table sleeping, one guy had disappeared, three were on the net watching porn, two were playing Warcraft 3, and one was doing 500 frag deathmatchs against novice bots... Realised that LAN'ing and drinking didn't go together so we haven't LAN'ed since.
 
Think it all depends on the LAN. When I go to the monthly LAN at a local Internet Cafe, drinking is not appropriate as their are younger kids there. The presence of alcohol will upset their parents and give LANs a bad name.

If there is someone with beers then they should only drink them after 1am (thats when all the mommies have been around to pick up their young ones).

The LANs at a budds house is a different thing. See no issue in drinking and LANing and sometimes it can lead to funny moments.

Wow that's a bit of an overkill. I'm not talking about getting smashed and lanning, just a bit of drinking like a couple beers or something. :D
 
I rarely drink, and haven't yet gotten drunk at a lan. I do recall a story where one of the guys where complete smashed while playing Quake 2. It took him about 3 seconds to realize someone was shooting at him.
 
come on, hasn't anyone got more funny storys? maybe smoking weed and LANning? that could be funny :D
 
Yea apart from this year, previous rages our team it normally drinking between matches and chowng weed muffins.

As long as you do not so drunk you cannot stand you can actually play very well.
 
I was at a frag lan(Durban) once and this guy got so smashed he chundered next to his computer and passed out in the chunder.

Man it was hilarious, but it stank quite bad :p

was that the one around the end of last year, when they played that staking board game on the second night?
 
regarding the guy who puked at frag, he wasn't drinking at the venue, but left and came back hammered, then got sick all over his pc, then left with us to clean it up.. :( he came back the next morning to find his entire pc, with the cloths, toilet paper and other things we used to clean up in a black bag. Gave him a fat lecture.. He's not been back since.
