Reading about the chocolate thread and wine , i thought it would be interesting to know who enjoys wine and which ones you really like red- Shiraz , Merlot , Pinotage etc etc.
Maybe even give us a specific name of your favourite winemaker as well .

Red. The heavier the better. I'll never say no to a bottle of Gevrey-Chambertin.

Summer - dry white (mostly sauvignon blanc, chardonnay) (and lots of it :))

Winter - red (mostly merlot, shiraz)

Yes. But I stop at 3 glasses. Any more and I will have the mother of all head aches the morning after.

I'm not too picky about the varieties. As long as it doesn't taste like Tassenberg.

I can't drink white wine.

I drink wine, currently I like Pinotage. But the more I drink the better the heavier wine I can tolerate.

I also don't drink white wine.

Thats quite hard since tassenberg is simply leftover wine mixed together.
You will almost never get a tassies that tastes like the previous bottle. :D

I once had a bad bottle (from a bad batch). I were sick for a week.

Yes.
Cabernet, Riesling and Chardonnay.
Also enjoy Port and sherry.

Have a few Tulbach, Rietvallei, Nederberg, KWV, Durbanville Hills, and De Grendel wines at home.

Love wine.

Haute Caberet, Buitenverwagten... too many to mention

Haute Cabriere's Pinot Noir is unbelievable. Bit pricey, but worth it. :)

I also tried their Chardonnay/Pinot Noir blend recently (white with slightly pink tint, sells at Woolworths) - really good!

Yes. Reds and Whites, even Rose if I must finish off my wife's bottle!! At any given stage I have around 40 bottles of wines available. Like to have a choice!

If its Red, I drink it. None of that Pink stuff though.

Drink whatever is in the cabinet at home. All my techie work is charged by the bottle nowdays so its like a lucky packet:

ADSL install = 1 bottle of Red
Telephone Question = 1 bottle of Red
Cellphone Help = 1 bottle of Red
Ubuntu UNR Install = 6 bottle of Red
XP Install = 6 bottle of Red & Packet of Biltong

Currently I got more wine that what I seem to be able to drink. Lot of techie work out there :)

I like a good Shiraz, and also Pinotage or Merlot.

My favourite producer of all time is Swartland, but Lynx, Glen Carlou, Backsberg, amongst others, are not far behind. The only region's wines that I don't like, are the Coastal and Orange River regions.

I am not a huge fan of white wines, but Durbanville Hills Sauvignon Blanc and Lynx's Blanc de Noir (not strictly a white wine, as it's made from red grapes).

I could list many more, but don't have the space here.
