Not really, there are plenty of conservative vegetarians. Some conservatives are vegetarian for religious reasons so not sure how this is a "woke" thing.

Yes, I was vegetarian for 10 years but went back to being omnivore because I was getting unhealthy. A healthy vegetarian diet in SA is also more expensive than an omnivorous one hence in SA, it's associated with the middle class.

I feel bad about it sometimes. Maybe I will go back, maybe not but hopefully lab-grown meat becomes wide-scale in our lifetime.

If you want to eat meat go for it. But there's no need to make silly excuses for your choice

I am an omnivore through and through.

My BIL is a vegetarian but he has spent years turning his garden into a vegetarian supermarket, he grows everything from fruit, vegetables, nuts and mushrooms so seasonally he has variety and I would take a guess and say his diet now costs him very little in the form of food but likely quite a bit in the form of supplements.

Pork neck steaks, pork belly.
Warthog fillet.
