I am vegetarian, was just a natural transition for me.....as I cultivated a bit of more awareness within myself...-on one dimension. I started feeling the heaviness and rather acidic after my normal/favourite meals...just got to a point, where I went...ok lets try no meat for a couple of weeks...could feel the ease at which my body started running... started eating consciously....not mixing acid and alkaline producing food stuffs at the same time....cut out milk,., started replacing my meals with a balance of fruits/nuts/veggies/legumes...
on occasions when I am out, I eat whatever vegetarian options are available/offered.. usually cardboard look and feel like meat, when fish and a quick salad would have worked, but appreciate people's effort .My staple food is dahl in winter and whatever seasonal veggies are available... really inexpensive...you eat what the body requires, not what the tongue demands - not that the tongue does not at times win the debate.... eating should not be a philosophy, find out what works for you and run with it...
