PC gamers, do you ever use a controller when playing certain games?

Using a controller with certain PC games is what lead me to switching to console.

Started using the steam dashboard with xbox 360 controller, ended up laying in bed playing certain games, got lazy, stopped going to LAN parties and ended up with an xbox one (Now X)

I'm about to take delivery of a controller because otherwise cuphead is going to destroy my keyboard and my soul

Are you a poll bot?

if he is, he is doing a sucky job at it.

and no. I play console for a reason, those using controllers on a PC should STFU with the console vs pc war if they do

Yes, but it depends on the game. Also I have my PC hooked up to my TV, so I can use it like a console when the need arises.

Third person action games like Tomb Raider -> controller
Racing games -> controller
2d/3D platformers -> controller
Fighting games -> arcade controller
Strategy games -> wireless mouse and keyboard
First person shooters -> wireless mouse and keyboard

Try playing a racing game with a keyboard and mouse. Some games are better with a keyboard. Some are better with a controller. Why not have both

No.

I tried witcher 3 with it, but kb+mouse has extra item quickslots.
I also tried for the flying parts in battlefield, but kb mouse is supposedly more accurate for that as well.

Some games, sure why not?
That's the beauty of a pc...you can choose to use a KB and mouse OR a controller of your choice ;)

Yes, moved my gaming pc to the living room and use it as a media center now. Connected the Xbox 360 controller and pretty much play everything from my couch with a controller now. If my pc gets to old in a year or 2 I will probably replace it with a console.

I have a steam controller and Steam link. When I'm feeling lazy I will play some of my Steam games in the lounge... mostly its games that are designed for the controller though.
