Rarely. Flying in the previous Star Wars Battlefront game was almost impossible with mouse and keyboard so I used a gamepad for that.

Third person adventure games like Rise of the Tomb Raider also play nicely with gamepads.

I played Cuphead with a PS4 controller through Steam Big picture mode.

The wife also uses a controller for Fallout NV on PC.

XBox 360 controller and throw in a Steam Link and you have the best of both worlds.Either game in front of PC or in bed in front of Telly.
