...or do you just have a place to sleep and rest when you are not working?

Not sure what you are asking.

Do you mean if the house is owned or if it is considered a home rather than a place to sleep/etc/etc?

A wife and pets turns a house into a home.
Some place to look forward to going to everyday.

Basically is the place you stay in is just utilitarian or have you made it feel like a home.

It's one of only few places I want to be.

I can't wait to get home in the afternoons.

Alas, no wife and dog, but I do have a bottle of brandy and a gaming PC hooked up to the interwebz to keep me company.

Maybe you should've made a poll to see home owners vs people that rent.
I have a home but no wife.

You can rent a place and still be a home. The difference between a house and a home is a state of mind. I know Joburgers especially who view their house as a place they go to rest and spend as much time as possible out of the house.

Yeah well it was a bit difficult to understand the question.
Wasn't really sure in what context he was coming from.

It's more like a place to sleep or rest when I'm not working and it will change every two to four years, depending in which country my partner finds his next post.

I have a home which I reluctantly leave every day to go see if I can earn some money without being in a kakout session, and when that's done I am dead to the world as soon as I get home.

Weekends I spend as much time with the important things in my life : Girlfriend, Gaming PC, Dogs and cat, in any order. I hate going out as I am completely happy in my bubble where the world doesn't exist until Monday comes.

So yes, I have a home, not just a place to sleep and eat

Yes. What makes it home for me is my SO. Without him it would just be a place to live in.

Had a SO, that’s gone.

Sill have a pet so I guess it’s a home.
