Without physical access to the SIM card I don’t see how.

And with access to it…no need for the SIM swop.

The only benefit I can think of is if the phone is stolen and the sim card is taken out of the phone and is used in another phone. Sim swops don't even need access to the sim card, and most fraudulent sim swops happen while the victim still has physical possession of their sim card, so I don't see how a pin could save you from that.
