when my wife was hijacked ,they put her sim ( no pin)into another phone and made 76k worth of purchases off the web ,all the OTP go to the sim and were all accepted .most of the OTP were used for delivery like eats places and clothes stores on account ,some were for data and airtime ,all in all 46 k was stolen ,the rest were intercepted by MTN and the card was blocked ,all the day before christmas .it took 7 months for the banks to refund ,without a sim pin its easy to do .
That is horrible. How has your wife been doing since the incident?

SIM PIN, yes. Lock, no.

The one PIN came with the SIM and I have for the past 18 months tried to change the PIN, on the phone without any luck.

it took a while to recover ,no injuries ,just traumatic .

Happy to hear she's recovered. It's terribly traumatic because at the time you don't know if they're going to hurt you or not.
