Scorpion hit factor today, 4.1 and 4.0
P07 - 0.0 and 1.0

LOL
Out of interest, what made you choose the P07 over a striker fired pistol? Is there any advantage for the type of sport shooting that you do?

That is exactly why many people choose an "SLR / carbine platform" for home defense as its waaaay easier to shoot a "rifle / carbine" as to a handgun, and then in the US you get agencies like the ATF that wants to ban / tax / regulate, an accessory the "pistol brace" which in turn was invented mainly for people with disabilities and inexperience to stabilise the "rifle/ carbine" in an unconventional way, because the conventional way might not be possible for these people it is intended for or was invented for.

Was the only cheap pistol at the time with a threaded barrel and it just looked awesome.
No advantage. The sights are a little bit raised to accommodate a suppressor, so I would argue it is 0.01% worse. :)

Too many people say buy a Glock cause spares are everywhere so I went the other route.

Been shooting for years now and I hate handguns.

Usually top 8 when it comes to pcc.

But, big but. I felt I needed to up my game in all sections.

Will see how I improve over the next year.

I thought maybe the trigger on the PO7 might be better than an equivalent striker fired. I like CZ, if I do decide to get a firearm it would probably be between the P10C and the G19.

Took 2 months from approved to license card being picked up.

Yes, I know, temp authorization. Just letting everyone know how long the card takes. Used to be 6 weeks.

What's the process like? My S13 will be expiring April next year.
A few weeks ago I got an sms reminding me that my renewal was due. I know you have to submit 90 days before expiry so last week I swung by the police station. The lady there gave me the relevant forms and a list of things I needed to provide. Oh and I needed to make an appointment to see the DFO.

1. 2 x Colour passport photos.
2. Licence card.
3. ID book.
4. Motivation.
5. Proof of address.
6. Photos of your safe.
7. R84.00 exactly. They do not take cards or give change.

As I already have a section 15 licence, I did not need to re-apply for handgun comp.
I went there this morning and submitted everything, paid my R84 and did one fingerprint. In and out in fifteen minutes..

Do you re-use your original motivation?

No, I just stated that I need the firearm for self defense at home and when traveling and then included statistics of home invasions and hijackings. I included one case that is being investigated by the very police station where I'm doing my application as well as hijacking stats on my area.

My S13 licence doesnt expire for a few more years but when it does I will still have 5 years or so left on my S15 licence (handgun), does this mean I wont have to redo my competency then as I still have a valid licence?

My situation exactly. They didn't say I need to redo my comp.

If you don't have a gun yet, pop in by your local police station and get yourself one... All day specials....

I get your comment is sarcasm, I really wish I can get a new one from them for R500 or even up to R5000 if new and semi automatic.

Cash up front and instant delivery. Not even on my name.
