Mid 2015 also don't have a Ethernet port, but I never had the need for one. I use USB on a daily basis though and also SD card from time to time.

Personally, I don't need ethernet often. But as you say, USB is a biggie - also my extra display uses HDMI

I've used Dell, Lenovo, HP and MSI laptops - usually high end ones.

Compared to my Macbook it was like a nightmare i never want to go back to :)

I've had 4 MB's so far and never gonna use anything else. They're perfect and can accommodate EVERY kind of personality and work, there is no reason to want anything else.

I think you should have asked do you own a MacBook or a windows notebook. Otherwise the people clicking the thread are more likely to be Mac users saying yes, as the results so far seem to show.

I'm just not sure what the point of the poll is. So far we can say with some confidence that 18 people own a MacBook and 18 people don't.

Exactly.

Or 36 people who bothered to vote own laptops of some sort.

What issues?

Referring to touch bar itself or Mac in general?

Touchbar, and the Mac in general.

On my model:
- Sound issue I mentioned - really irritating. Means I can't use it for conference calls without a headset or for presentations
- Touchbar crashes every now and then
- Keyboard issues with at least two of the touchbar models in my office, they needed to go in and have the keyboards replaced
- Cracking /snapping sound from when it wakes up - I don't know what causes this

Personally, I don't like the OS. Yes, on the terminal its like linux, but Finder is pain and the fact that I don't have home / end keys on the keyboard is a struggle. All apps don't use the same keyboard shortcuts for home and end, so now I need to use different key combinations, or remap keys in the apps if I can.

Bash, a high resolution screen and great battery life.

I would not buy one of the 2016/2017 models. They need to fix things first.

Good reasons with which I agree. Reasons I used when I chose a Mac above Linux / Windows this time

But never expected to have the issues with the new model I've experienced

Can't comment on the hardware problems as I've not even seen a Touchbar models in the flesh.

But it's the best OS out there and I again can't stand being forced to use Windows now.
