Gear S2 Classic. Gear S3 looks nice but I have programmer wrists... It's rather useful, feels a bit weird to be without it. The only shame is I have a small collection of watches which never get worn.

Yes I have a Apple Watch series 2, this is my first smartwatch so I can't compare it to anything else.
I got it for a very very good price otherwise I'd probably not have it and if a new version comes along I probably won't upgrade. I don't find it that useful apart from notifications and such, recently I didn't wear it for 2 weeks and didn't really miss it at all. A small little feature I enjoy very much though is the Mac unlock. When you're waring the watch and start or wake up your Mac it will automatically unlock without having to enter your password.

Had a Samsung gear 2, upgraded to Fenix 3. Although if i was looking only at the 'smart" part I would have stuck with the Samsung.

Had one that came with my S5. (galaxy Gear).

My phone was stolen, the watch disconnecting did not help me notice it is out of range.

It was a fun little gimmiky thing (camera on your wrist and all that) but ultimately, No I would not pay for one.

If free/bundled I would use it but I don't consider the cost of these things to be worth the few uses they have for me.

You can't carry your weights, barbells, canoo or bicycle with you so instead it's a yuppie thing to have a smartwatch so you can see I'm a fanatic.......
In the old days guys had their windsurfers on the roof rack 24/7 to show off now it's the watch thingy.
Just my personal feelings and 2c.

Have a LG watch R that I wear daily. Tells me when someone is calling (I leave my phone on silent) and when I leave my phone behind (when out of bt range). Android wear 2.0 crippled it somewhat - it's a lot slower than it used to be.

Apple Watch first series. Works very well with cycling as well as keeping track of what's happening on my phone when in meetings.

Love the TAG connect though but am too poor :-(

My answer=NO.
I have a Garmin Forerunner. I bought it for exercises (running mainly). Don't care about it chatting to my smartphone or taking phone calls on it. My Garmin can go for weeks without charging if I don't do any GPS-enabled workouts.
The only reason I would buy an Apple Watch, Samsung Gear S or any of the others, would be for the fitness tracking option. But Garmin and Tomtom do a much better job at that.

I'm also poor so I run a TAG face on my S2 :D

Apple Watch series 1, didn't need the waterproof function of series 2. The Apple Watch works really well for everything smart watch needs to do.
