playing dota?. mm. no! I'm not playing dota. aha, but my brother start playing dota when he is 13 years on age. now he is 17 years old. and he still playing dota. I asked him last weekend, if why he is playing dota?. and his answer is , because "I'm enjoying this game".. I asked him again, "can you please tell me, why do you say that it is enjoy to play?". and he said.. "I don't know why!".

I angry with him (but not totally). because he is toying me. aha..

Now, can I asked to somebody here. Why dota is enjoy to play?

I really enjoy co-op games and dota is pretty much hugely co-op 5 ppl working together everyone with it's own hero which has its own unique array of special abilities which can be used to help the team win the game.

Which is a lot of fun if your team works together well.
But I said this before somewhere dota is crap if you don't have a good team.I can't really think of a worst game to play then dota and a crap team.


And yes it might take awhile to get the hang of the game, and to find good team members online takes forever. but the end reward is always great fun.

well its like a rpg, but with team mates... and its a thinking game... not hack and slash. it just reaaly nice to play...

me too, play about 2-3 games a day, and to be honest, I just seem to be getting worse at it.

Broke my wheelie's on the chair that I use on Saturday after one particularly difficult match.

Had a character that was easy prey early game for one specific hero, but managed to buff up in the meantime due to effective farming and some really hectic hide and seek tactics, but managed to get 2 kills off the offending hero late game and celebrated my revenge.

Thus breaking my chair.

you get your stages where you suck but just keep going then one day you will just click what goes for what... if been playing online for about 1 - 1.5 years now and i only got the hang of it i month or so back.... i sometimes got so angry that i just left it... then 2 days later guess where i am at... lol

Yes you need frozen throne as well, and update 1.23 for frozen throne. Then you just need a battlenet gateway editor to enter the correct Ip for the online server and off you go. Have fun

If you do get stuck somewhere go to war3.co.za forums and just look at the guides. And you can dl the latest dota at
www.getdota.com.

Righto so I've purchased Warcraft Reign Of Chaos & Frozen Throne (which btw are going for R99 at Incredible Corruption).

I installed them both, installing Reign Of Chaos first.

I then get the lovely message that I need to register my game.

So I go to the URL - LINK then click Sign up for your free Battle.net Account today! which takes me to HERE.

I then try & click on Continue to complete the Sign Up, however the page gives me a ton of SQL errors. I've been trying for 2 days now.

I was just wondering, do I REALLY need to register? Will I get into *** with the WoW GOD's for not doing so? Can I play the game properly if I dont register?

Sorry for the long post, but I'm thoroughly confused.

No you don't need to register your account to play on the local server.I think you only need to register if you are planning on playing on international servers.Which am not sure you can do because ping seems to be a prob with dota.
Just download a battlenet gateway editor and insert the
IP war3.co.za
zone:2
Make sure you have version 1.23 but even if you don't have it, it should automatically update when you try to join b-net server.
And just make sure you have the latest dota.
