Yes because all tattoo artists are just so hardcore and stuff It is only usually the afrikaans for some reason, and then people out of jealousy mostly, not to sound arrogant, it's like they see you as a rival or something who knows, but couldn't be bothered, I do what I do because I love it, not for the social aspects, people are annoying, especially when you deal with them day in and day out, the last thing you want is to go out at night and chat about tattoos, I DONT CARE IF YOU WANT STARS, YOURE NOT RIIHANNA

Pretty much, but i mean you just stay away from certain places, but its not a big deal, obviously when im in jhb its acceptable.

That is true. Same goes for certain sub-culture cliques. A few ''rockers'' walking into a News Cafe type place will stand a good chance of having a few guys give them grief. And it happens in the reverse too. Really stupid.

Can you roll solo there? I was there two weeks back until the wee hours of the morning with a group and that place just gets crazy. Not much talking is possible when the music starts. I suppose if you don't feel like talking you could just hang around there and people watch.

Probably because you are more open to meeting new people. When with a group you pretty much stay in that "zone".

Billy the Bums is in a spar centre in Pine Slopes. A KEG used to exist there too but it was bought out by patrons a few months ago and now I believe it has bitten the dust.

OHagans is at the older of the two centres where Hooters is and it is also on its way out (or so it would seem)

Billy the Bums has actually lasted a while. The only bustling KEG I know of is the one near Bedfordview.

I think what happens with a lot of these places is they get destroyed by bad crowds. I knew of a few places that got dragged down by young crowds. Nobody wants to go out where you have an army of fresh out of high school kids struggling to hold their liquor.

Pine Slopes that's the one. Went to Billies once or twice. Very loud. Not my sort of scene. Although, I can enjoy anywhere if I'm drunk and happy enough.
