Operate your phone while driving? Surely not?

Not in breach of the law that was posted above.

You going to tell me you never push any buttons or adjust any dials in your car, ever?

Oh I do. I even speed sometimes, you know, like 80 in a 60 zone, and I've driven home on occasion form the local pub after 3 beers. I'm not on any high horse.

It's not considered operating a mobile phone by handling it while in a cradle?

Read the first paragraph of the summary quoted above.

Yes, when driving or too lazy to talk, if i have a lot of info to give or need to respond to a lot of questions on groups, then it's quicker to just voice note, or if there is a time difference with family then I voice note them so they receive it when they get up... and if I'm running out of battery, way quicker to voice note what i need to say than type it out...

Only when driving, and only after speech-to-speech fails to recognise what I am saying for the third time.

Type out when I can.

I use voice notes on those rare occasions when tone of the message is important, e.g. explaining a situation, or I am currently unable to type due to circumstances. I prefer using the Voice Recorder app on the phone though as it's better quality and I can just once to start/stop. I sound like a completely different person if one were to listen to the voice note, my friend was next to me and listened to me saying it and then the recording, it's not the same.

Voice notes are like talking to voicemail or to a blank wall. I don't do it.

Good point about voicemail. I deleted that service from my account. If you call me and don't take the call you just get "subscriber not available". Honestly I prefer text, on Hangouts, much easier to find when I google.

Very handy tool. Safer to send short voice message than to text if you have to reply to urgent message and cant stopto send proper message.

Yes, I do use Whatsapp voice messages. Quick efficient way of sending messages in a more personal way.

you do know that you can play it out of the earpiece like a regular phone call? As in only you, the intended recipient will hear it?
