Do you send voice notes over WhatsApp?

When using WhatsApp, do you prefer to send voice notes instead of typing out messages?

I voted that I do on occasion use them, but that doesn't mean a prefer them, and certainly not during work hours when I could be anywhere with other people around...

Yes, as much as possible. It's just so much easier.

Text can never really show emotion to people but a voice note can.

If I'm driving then yes.
As nick mentioned, some conversations can drag when a proper explanation is needed. A quick VN solves this. Useful in group chats.

I have needed to VN on a few occasions.

and honstly, Whatsapp VN are difficuilt to record. you need to hold down the mic the entire time.
in another messaging app that I will not name, after you lift the phone to your ear to have the VN not be played over speakerphone, after you are done listening, you can simply talk and record your response. in whatsapp, this does not work.

sometimes, my brother and I send each other long VN's discussing fan theories about TV shows, or weekend plans, and its easier than a call, but too long to type.

Meh, voice note, text, it's all the same. Sometime voice note is easier. Hell, I've sent voice notes to mybb members before.
