Nothing beats the speed and power of a desktop. I use it for gaming as well as at work

Yup, Desktop is my "goto" machine

Only have laptop due to work supplying it

I work from home, so desktop all the way. Only use my laptop in a meeting, or if I am going to consult at an another company. Sometimes while chilling outside I do game with my lappy. I can go a week without touching a laptop

Yes

Video and photo editing/manipulation
Animated video creation
Website Design, front & back end
Plus lots of other stuff
Also mainly use Dragon NaturallySpeaking Premium 13 for all text and many command applications.

Laptop mainly unused except on rare occasions when I'm away from home and really need to get something done.
Tablet comes in useful when I'm out pursuing my bird photography hobby as I have bird identification apps and can wirelessly transfer photos from my camera to the tablet, could do the same with a laptop but it's far to bulky to lug around in the veld.

Home use Desktop PC for everything, Gaming mostly <<-- VERY IMPORTANT :) , design, recording games and editing> Making youtube videos, Downloads , watching netflix and series/movies , some work, use as a hifi, anything

At work I use a laptop supplied by work.

Out and about I use smartphone

I use my Ubuntu Linux Pc for banking, medical aid, investment, email, news, research current health and community topics. Older smart phone was a gift and does calls, SMS, WhatsApp and bank notices but not internet. Gaming does not feature; no time for a retired grandad.

I use desktop pcs at home and work for demanding graphics and 3d applications. Anything else will just be way too slow and impracticle.

Big colour-managed monitors are also a must.

Yes! Sure do still use desktops.
Laptop: workplace for many of my trivial tasks and is always nearby. Has a 2-year lifecycle.
Desktop: workplace when I need to have my decade-old library and specific programs at hand which are not synced to the cloud. Can't beat the power and space. MTBF is pretty open-end as I can upgrade/exchange most components. Also has more monitors attached.

The cloud helps keep the standards in sync, but physical backups and local sharing are handled by the desktop.

No, I sold my desktop a couple of years ago and bought a gaming Laptop , the reason being I was working between SA and the USA and wanted something I could take with. BUT - I really miss upgrading and having fun with my desktop so will probably get another in the next year or two when I can afford it again!
