I dont live my life online so both the Blue Book and the Yellow pages for services , phone codes etc.

So given that 99% of businesses in South Africa do not have a F**cking CLUE about the internet with either no web presence at all or the information was from when they set up the site however many years ago and never updated since, finding accurate current information online in South Africa is beyond pathetic.

Now if only the stupid c--nts in the Post Office would actually GIVE me a phone book ...

But no, it's just so much easier to look up a telephone number on the web than to use a telephone book.

I'd like to know what fantasy part of SA you people live in that actually has businesses and people with number listed on line that actually connect with the person/business advertised? It really must be a very small part hidden from us normal folks who have to deal with business with no online presence, or one that is so outdated it might as well not exist for all the use it is.

Well we had a case last week, looking for a business that supplies certain component ----- in Pretoria.
So I took the advice of all of you on the forum --- did an on line search -- found nothing.

Grabbed the yellow pages and had the number in about 20 seconds ....... The used what I had found to go back on line and found nothing ......

No, at least 6 years ago. We no longer have phone lines as Telkom haven't replaced them after the lines got stolen. Now I just use word of mouth and the internet to search for phone numbers and contact information.
