They are great, as door stops. Pity the trees they are made from though. Using them as door stops, and saying so out loud, might help mitigate climate change.

Yes, I still use a telephone book, to put my flat screen monitor on to make it a bit higher, easier to read. But the books are getting thinner and thinner, so might need two books now...
 
Never used one.

Telephonic conversations are waste of time and airtime, opting for emails instead.

Either it ends up with long wait times (which you pay for) or wasting a good 10 minutes trying to explain something could be explained in 1-2 sentences in an email.
 
I do use a telephone book now and then, last i used was recently at work. For everything else, theres google!
 
Search details on Google instead of paging through an old phone book that may have some pages missing.
It's still effective especially when you're looking for contact details of medium to big companies.
Social media has also contact details of most people as well as business on their sites.
So it's definitely a big No on phone books for me
 
For some random reason the first telephone book I've seen in 10 years was delivered to our gate only yesterday. It went directly to the paper recycling bin. What a waste of money and resources.
 
Nope, also online. And I received 1 book in 2014 at our gate. Used that to elevate one of my screens to the same height as the other one. Perfect fit.

Yes it is on line. Great for those that have the Internet. Still the only source of info for a few million South Africans.
