I own a few anime boxsets. Death Note, Wolf's Rain and Afro Samurai.

Mostly spent my time on the high seas, tried kissanime once for but I'll gouge my eyes out before going back there. I have recently created a crunchyroll account but was disappointed when I saw One Piece wasn't on it and don't know where to start with all the titles.

Truth be told, I'm not a seasonal anime viewer like some guys here.
The entire one piece series is available on crunchyroll. Literally on the front page of the most popular often as a new episode is released.

I will post a pic of my personal collection come morning but honestly haven't added anything for a while as accessing everything digitally has become very easy. Crunchyroll is my main source as most anime is directly on it and the ps4 app is pretty good, netflix comes second with it's growing library, prime video and hidive are on and off if they add anything interesting. For anything that is not available locally I torrent from nyaa (anime specific torrent site) then use my plex media server to stream for the household.

Worked with a guy once who binge watched that for a few months. Not starting that :)

......Maybe I should
Yeah I have tried once but gave up around half way through cause oh boy that is massive series to binge. My younger brother has his own crunchyroll account and has re watched naruto shippuden and dragon ball super at least 5 times each over a course of 2 years. Ah how nice it is to be young and re watch something over and over while still enjoying it haha.

I`m not a big fan of Anime like Naruto. They usually have a ton of fillers and they take forever to finish.

That being said I enjoy it for all its many feel good stories. The Pain arc was awesome.

I have watched Mirrai Nikki and Highschool of the dead a few times. Even when you know how they end.
Still not happy how Mirrai Nikki ends :(

Also not rewatching Code Geass, nor watching season 3.

Yeah Anime screwed over my highschool marks. And if I had to redo it, Id watch anime all the same.

I know a couple of people that are into Anime. So I can imagine there is a market for it. Personally I find them all to be the same with similar story lines and cringy relationships. But then again I haven't watched that many. Just wish I could understood Japanese as the English is what mostly put me off.

I have seen some English versions change what a character has said completely from the real version. Thus nullifying the meaning and feeling.

I agree with you heavily on the filler, not a fan. I loved naruto growing up, still do till this day, i finished watching it as it was airing but if you told me to watch it for the first time today I wouldn't even start it due to it's length, filler and overall dragging of the story way too far. Mirai nikki actually annoyed me as it seemed like it just couldn't decide on what it wanted to be. The atmosphere would change from serious to filler like content in a heart beat.

These day's I watch most simulcasts and it takes up a good portion of my free time. Even when young I've always loved the Japanese culture and anime has come A LONG way worldwide since my old school days of watching yugi-oh and dragon ball z on sabc XD

I just watched it for a certain character. Guess thats why I liked Mirai Nikki.

It really did have some good memorable characters and moments. Still good enough to deserve a permanent spot on my plex media server (due to funimation licensing) and it was enjoyable. I just wish it was consistent enough to make it higher up the list.

Back to the topic, I am impressed with the recent push for anime locally as only a few (mostly funimation exclusives) have needed to be added with plex over the past year, namely demon slayer, the promised neverland, kaguya-sama love is war, id-invaded, interspecies reviewer's to name a few.

Hey the more fans the better

Nexus is a great store locally
Crunchyroll is totally worth it. I would have preferred pricing more in line with Netflix, but I do happily pay it.
Create a poll OP

A lot of modern Anime seems to be that way.
Some of the older stuff were just plain proper shows.

Sold my physical anime years ago( who still has a dvd player?)
Hardly anything is good enough these days that would make me rewatch it. Only one punch man comes to mind. It's hilarious.

I only just got back into anime thanks to Netflix and watching things like Akame GA Kill, is it wrong to pickup chicks in a dungeon, Erased, Sword Art online and Hero Mask. Rewatched Evangelion and Hellsing in good quality, the anime market in the late to early 2000s was dodgy so you either watched it on a vhs tape that had been watched hundreds of times or you downloaded 144p videos on your 56k internet connection.
Than a little store opened in the Randburg waterfront flea market opened with tapes and DVDs, introduced me to Miyazaki. Watched a lot of those again on Netflix, just upset I only have Spirited Away on DVD.

I have the entire Ghibli collection on dvd, all bought over the last couple of years on raru, loot and takealot :) Pretty sure you can still find them all there if you want.

It all started with Spirited Away for me too which I had on dvd since it was released. They all have the original Japanese and English dubs except for Ocean Waves which is Japanese only for some reason but with English subtitles.

I pretty much love them all except for My Neighbours the Yamadas and Princess Kaguya. Not my style and they're a bit too weird for my liking. And super boring.

I even absolutely love Tales From Earthsea. No idea why the movie is so hated, it's pretty damn awesome imo.
