Which has ****all to do with covid and the spread thereof.
Many people who commit acts of violence have drunk coffee in the previous 24 hours : so ban coffee and we'll live in a society free of violence. Nuts ? Yes. of course, but less so that the governments sick obsession with banning alcohol on fake grounds and fake data

Absolutely not. As a medical professor I have been sickened by the persistent negligence of the state's handling of the entire COVID crisis : a lousy testing program, loony restrictions imposed based not on science at all, but based on the psychopathology of individual ministers, chasing rainbiows and avoiding the real issues. WHen groups the politicians want to support them in the local elections whine, like large churches and taxi organizations, they ignore the science and surrender. Not since Mbeki's daft health minister messed up the AIDS/HIV crisis, ansd recommended African beetroot and other veggies, a salad instead of a solution, we haven't seen such a dangerous and damaging mess

The initial level 5 and level 4 lockdowns happened too early, and by the time the actual wave arrived we were at level 3 and the damage was done so they couldn't really impose harsher lockdowns.

I see no point in harsher measures just yet. It's a bit like drinking a headache tablet in anticipation of having a headache later.

I think they can put some restrictions on interprovincial travel and alcohol.

Does not need to be a blanket ban, just something to take the edge off the third wave.

No. Third wave will be coming whether we like it or not. Social distancing is a total mystery for the masses. Everyday I drive home I see hoards and hoards of people in close proximity with no masks (discussion for another day). And I can bet my lefty that there is no sanitation happening in schools, shops, etc. either

These mini lockdowns punishes the working middle class...

Indeed, based on that "logic" petrol should be banned because of car accidents. It really is that ridiculous.

Extension of curfew and rigorous policing of current regulations should suffice. The rest of the proposed actions are damaging and unnecessary.

Okay so the ruling is sitting at a pub and drinking and then driving home is safer than buying dop and having a braai at home.

Got it.

Nope, also hope they don't reduce the curfew again, every single time I was on the road an hour or less from it people would go just as mental as drunk drivers trying to get home in time.

Still have several liters of wine in stock and supplier of reasonably priced beer and rum if things go pear shaped.

Waiting for EL Presidente, watching something else with Renaldo in PIP, muted of course because he shouts, and Youtube has negative audio normalization.
